Challenge yourself! Do you have prior knowledge and experience in map and compass navigation? Build on your skillset with Way-finder field skills advanced land navigation course. Not for the faint hearted, on this course you will practice navigation using only your map and also do night navigation.

Topics covered include:

• Navigating without equipment
• Night navigation
• Route planning
• Plotting Lat/Long
• Improvised direction finding and more!

Prior navigation experience is essential but there is refresher navigation practice if it has been a while. A good level of fitness is recommended as there is a lot of ground to cover.

Day 1 is spent learning to navigate with only a map and experiencing night navigation before spending the night by the campfire with a BBQ dinner.

Day 2 puts your skills to the test on an unmarked cross country navigation route that you have planned!

The course is run near Winburndale, approximately 3hrs west of Sydney.
